Bullying and harassment
Zero Tolerance Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Everyone at The Compound should be able to train, work and play here without being bullied, harassed or threatened. This page says what we will not accept, how to report it, and what happens to people who do it.
01 Our position
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, discrimination or abuse of our staff, fellow members or anyone on the premises is not tolerated. In person, by message or online.
If you do it, you will be removed from the gym, your membership will be ended, and you will be banned.
This applies to every member, day-pass visitor and guest. It is part of our Membership Terms.
02 Who it protects
Everyone on the premises: members, visitors, children in the play area and the parents with them, our trainers, front desk and health bar staff, and anyone else here to work. It also covers messages and posts aimed at any of these people because of the gym, wherever they are sent from.
03 What counts
- Verbal: insults, threats, shouting at someone, name-calling, and comments mocking someone's body, appearance, religion, sect, ethnicity, gender, age or disability.
- Physical: pushing, hitting, grabbing, blocking someone's way, throwing things at or near someone, or damaging their belongings.
- Sexual: unwanted touching, comments about someone's body, sexual jokes or requests, following someone, and continuing to approach someone after they have said no.
- Intimidation: standing over someone to scare them, ganging up on someone, or repeatedly pushing someone off equipment or out of a space.
- Discrimination: treating someone worse because of their religion, sect, ethnicity, gender, age, disability or body.
- Online and by message: abusive or threatening WhatsApp messages, calls, comments or posts, spreading rumours, and sharing someone's number, photos or personal details.
- Photos and filming: photographing or filming anyone without their agreement. Filming your own training is fine as long as nobody else can be identified without agreeing. Phones and cameras are never to be used in changing or shower areas.
A trainer correcting your form, or staff asking you to follow the gym rules, is not harassment.
04 How to report it
Tell the front desk, tell any member of staff, or message us on WhatsApp at 0325-0133322. You can report something that happened to you or something you saw happen to someone else.
Tell us what happened, when, and who was involved. For anything online or by message, send screenshots.
We handle every report discreetly. Only the people who need to know to deal with it will be told. We will not tell the person you reported who you are unless we have to, for example because the police are involved.
Nobody will be penalised for making an honest report. Making a false report to get someone into trouble is itself harassment under this policy.
If someone is in danger right now, call the police on 15 first.
05 What happens
When we are satisfied that someone has broken this policy:
- They are removed from the premises immediately. Staff can do this on the spot.
- Their membership is ended and they are removed from the fingerprint terminal the same day.
- They are banned from re-joining, on any plan, including day passes.
- No fees are refunded: not the days left on the membership, not the registration fee, nothing.
- Where the law has been broken, we involve the police and give them what we know.
Our decision is final.
06 Our staff are protected too
Abusing our staff is treated exactly the same as abusing a member. That includes shouting at the front desk over fees, an expired membership or a payment that has not been confirmed yet, and threatening a trainer or the health bar team.
Staff can refuse service and ask anyone to leave. We will back them.
